Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State empowers their staff to improve quality of life with  Litmos

The Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State (CP of NYS) is a state-wide disability group on a mission to advocate and provide direct services with and for individuals with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities. They promote lifelong opportunities and choices for independence, inclusion and enhanced quality of life for individuals across the state of New York.

With twenty-four affiliate agencies providing service to more than 100,000 people with disabilities, CP of NYS has around 10,000 employees across the state using Litmos to train in providing services and programs for individuals with disabilities.

When searching for a training platform, CP of NYS looked for something that would offer their staff the opportunity to train on their own terms, at a time that worked for them. With the LMS their staff have the flexibility to train on a PC or on their phone, at their convenience. From a regulatory standpoint, Litmos allows CP of NYS to track what they need to, when they need to.

Karen Palmer, LMS Administrator & Trainer at Upstate Cerebral Palsy, states the LMS has cut her workload in half: “I can run reports in seconds now, I can get back to people when they ask for things. It has made my job so much easier.”

Previously, orientation at CP of NYS took up to six weeks. With Litmos, they’ve cut this time down to just three weeks, by putting most of their classes online. Additionally, as an organisation that works hard to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families, CP of NYS believes that Litmos empowers their staff to feel comfortable in the roles they’ve been trained to work in. From both a quality improvement and regulatory perspective, Litmos was the training solution CP of NYS was looking for.
