PPE Awareness
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is clothing and equipment that helps protect against health and safety hazards at work. It includes hard hats, gloves, eye protection, face shields, and safety footwear. PPE is essential as it provides a last line of defence against injury. Using PPE is covered by Canadian Occupational Health and Safety (COHS) regulations. This course covers employers’ legal obligations under these regulations, PPE types, and steps to use and maintain PPE at work effectively.
